Members of the Bering family
Members of the Bering family – and friends (pictured, from left) including Lisa Kinzel, Heather Bering Mafrige, Augie Bering, Sally Timanus (behind Augie), Bonnie Bering, Janie Puttman, (behind Bonnie), Carol Ann and Bob Paddock, Tim Timanus and Suzie Swanson – gathered for a special night to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Bering’s Hardware. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. The band Mercury: The Orchestra Redefined played music as guests nibbled on light bites provided by Chef Reggie Martin of LeMond Catering and Special Events. Bering’s used to carry yardsticks, and Nancy Harper gathered one from each year to frame as a special piece of art for the anniversary.
